Originally from the Bay Area, Tang has already toured Nationally and is currently attending Juillaird while gigging about NYC, where she’s creating a tremendous buzz among the city’s top players. We hear Freddie Hubbard, Roy Hargrove…but she’s got a compositional and performance voice all her own.

BECCS
Beccs is an alternative pop artist with one of the best, biggest voices in indie music. Her recent EP “Stay Moist” received critical acclaim, and her songs have a fresh, weird, and endeering quality that’s unique to this very special human. This Very Velma cabaret style performance is called “beccs sings the classics,” wherein Beccs will be mixing in her own music as well as her versions of classics by Minnie Riperton, Sondheim, Carole King, Laura Nyro, and Joni Mitchell.

Miramar
Miramar plays new interpretations of golden-era boleros (romantic music originating in 1950s Cuba) mixed with soul. The band is part of the Nuevo Romantico movement and carry the torch of Balada Rockmántica or Bolero-Beat, a popular genre defined by its blend of traditional boleros, psychedelic funk, and rock. Juma Sultan's Aboriginal Music Society
Perhaps most famous for his performance at the 1969 Woodstock Festival as a member of Jimi Hendrix’s Gypsy Sun & Rainbows, Percussionist Juma Sultan was an integral part of the 1970s NYC Loft Jazz scene, and has collaborated with Jimi Hendrix, Sonny Simmons, Archie Shepp, Pharaoh Sanders, James “Blood” Ullmer, Dave Burell, Sam Rivers and many more.

A stalwart indie band for 25 years, husband/wife duo Mates of State have released 7 albums, played Letterman, Conan, This American Life, Coachella, toured the entire world, and in their spare time have raised 3 daughters. Yamba Quartet + DJ BAILEY
Brooklyn's Super Yamba Quartet takes its cues from 70s/80s West-African Afrobeat and Psychedelic Funk - they look back to artists such as Orchestre Poly-Rythmo, El Rego and Gnonnas all masters of the classic Benin Afro-Funk. DJ Bailey was named one of "The Coolest DJs on the NYC Nightlife Scene" by Guest of a Guest, spinning retro, funky vinyl records all night long

Mike Dillon & Punkadelick
A modern jazz/jam/funk legend, Vibraphonist/percussionist Mike Dillon has spent the last three decades playing with Les Claypool, Ani DiFranco, Galactic, Critters Buggin, Charlie Hunter, and Rickie Lee Jones, all the while innovating at a staggering pace as a band leader. Punkadelic features Dillon with organ giant Brian Haas (Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey), and Nikki Glaspie on drums (Beyonce, Nth Power) and is an explosive trio that lives somewhere in the Zappa, Claypool, Galactic world of music.
